Starz Picks Up Crash For A Second Season

If you watched the first season of Starz’ drama series Crash, you might be happy to know that vice president of programming at Starz Entertainment Stephan Shelanski announced today that they’re picking up Crash for a second season, which is set to make its debut next fall.

Like the Oscar winning film, the drama series focuses on a multi-ethnic group of people from different socio-economic backgrounds living in Los Angeles. Their lives are intertwined and connected as their personal drama unfolds. The second season will consist of thirteen episodes which will dig even deeper into the characters’ stories.

Regarding the announcement, Shelanski said, “As our first major dramatic series on Starz, Crash has been, and will be, an important part of our Originals strategy. With Ira, James and Todd on board, we feel it’s going to get stronger with each year and keep building on the success we established in the first year.”

Crash stars Dennis Hopper, Clare Carey, Ross McCall, Brian Tee, Arlene Tur, Jocko Sims, Luis Chavez, Nick E. Tarabay and Moran Atias. Starz is currently re-running the first season on their On Demand feature.
