Wilfred Season 2, Episode 7 - Truth
While honesty is supposed to be the best policy, the "Truth" seems to be causing a lot of chaos on this week's Wilfred. The seventh episode of the second season finds Ryan making some big life choices, which could have even bigger metaphysical consequences. And you never want to be the first one to say I love you! Especially when the other person is merely admitting their lack of clean underpants. That, my friends, is the "Truth." Here's a preview for Thursday night's episode,
Even though Ryan clearly shocked Amanda with his proclamation of love, it seems she's satisfied enough in the relationship to at least give moving in together the old college try. The the drastic change in lifestyle looks to have quite the effect on Ryan and Wilfred's special relationship not to mention the safe space of the house (especially the basement), which seems to be literally trembling at the prospect of change. Oh, and I loved Wilfred's CSI-inspired sunglasses removal.
The shot of Ryan falling under an avalanche of books looks great and I'm extremely excited to see more of director Randall Einhorn's inventive sequences, especially after Wilfred finally broke out of its recent sitcomy shackles with the excellent and Bob Fosse inspired finale for last week's "Avoidance". The most interesting part of the preview is perhaps what's not included. FX's official synopsis for "Truth" mentions the return of 'Ryan's former nemesis' with an Earth shattering offer. Maybe it's not Amanda's presence that is rocking the boat. And by the boat, I mean the house.
Wilfred airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on FX. It stars Elijah Wood, Jason Gann and Fiona Gubelmann.
