Reign Is Ending, Will Not Return For Season 5

The CW's Reign has hung on long enough to score a renewal for Season 4, but we've now learned that there will be no Season 5. Still, there's some good news.

Reign's Bad Ratings Are Getting Even Worse

The CW’s Reign has never been the highest ratings-bringer on the network. However, now in its third season, Reign is continuing to post new lows. Here's how badly the show did.

Why Reign Is Killing Off A Major Character

With shows like The Flash and The Vampire Diaries taking up part of its schedule, The CW isn’t a network that aims for realism at all times. But then there’s Reign, and that show is taking a page from history with its Season 3 arc.

Arrow, The Vampire Diaries And 6 Other Shows Renewed By The CW

This week at the Television Critics Association Press tour, the CW has done something quite unprecedented: the network has already decided to renew eight TV shows for the 2015-2016 TV season. Go ahead and breathe in a sigh of relief.

11 TV Shows In Danger Of Being Canceled

Looking at buzz, ratings and other outside factors, we’ve compiled a list of the shows that are currently in danger of getting canceled. The list may change as the year wears on, but for now, check them out, and let us know if there are any you think are missing.

The Flash, Arrow, The 100 And Other CW TV Shows Get October Premiere Dates

Following CBS' Fall TV premiere schedule, the CW has released their own plans for new and returning programming this fall. It looks like they'll be getting things going during early October, starting with The Vampire Diaries, Reign and TVD-spinoff The Originals.

The CW 2014-2015 Schedule Sets The Flash For Tuesday, Moves The Originals

Of the five major TV networks, the CW is the last to do its upfront presentation. The 2014-2015 was announced this morning, and as we hoped, The Flash is on the line-up, along with new drama Jane the Virgin and returning favorites The Vampire Diaries, Arrow and The 100. Zombie drama iZombie and sci-fi series The Messengers will air in 2015.

The 100 Gets Renewed At The CW, The Tomorrow People And Others Cancelled

In with the new unfortunately means out with the old. Or well, old-ish anyway. CW's Star-Crossed only just got its start this year, and The Tomorrow People debuted last fall, but both dramas have been cancelled by The CW, along with veteran series The Carrie Diaries.

The Vampire Diaries, Arrow And Other CW Season Finale Dates Set, Labyrinth To Premiere In May

The CW's gearing up for the big finish for their current season, and in addition to announcing the season finale dates for shows like The Vampire Diaries, Arrow, Supernatural and Star-Crossed, they've also set a premiere date for their airing of the miniseries Labyrinth, which is set to air over two nights, starting May 22.

Arrow, The Vampire Diaries And 3 More CW Series Renewed For 2014-2015

The CW has passed along some good news for some of their current series, including freshman dramas The Originals and Reign. Both were among the series given early renewals ahead of this Spring's up fronts. Arrow, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries also made the cut.

Star-Crossed And The 100 Premiere Dates Set On The CW's 2014 Midseason Schedule

When it comes to new dramas, the CW held a couple back at the start of the 2013-2014 season. Sci-fi dramas The 100 and Star-Crossed were both reserved for midseason, and you’ll see them among the shows scheduled to air this winter. While alien-Romeo & Juliet drama Star-Crossed will arrive in February, The 100-Games is set for a March debut to air behind Arrow.

The Originals, Reign And The Tomorrow People Picked Up For Full First Seasons

It looks like CW’s aiming to stay the course with their new dramas. The network announced today that they’ve given full season orders for all three freshmen drama series The Originals, The Tomorrow People and Reign. These are three of five new series CW is introducing this season, with two more lined up to join the network during Midseason.

Reign Review: Castles, Costumes And Soapy Teen Drama

On some level, I want to say that The CW's Reign is in the vein of A Knight's Tale, in that it's sort of period-piece light, with its modern music and updated -- or at the very least, modified -- costumes. But what Reign lacks that made A Knight's Tale work is humor. The CW's new series takes a similar approach to any other young adult drama on the network, which is fine for that audience, but combined with its loose approach to historical accuracy, it's really hard for me to take this show as seriously as it takes itself.

The Originals, Reign And The Tomorrow People Get New Posters

The CW's getting a bit more super next season with the arrival of The Tomorrow People, one of the new shows set to debut this fall. The new poster puts series star Robbie Amell front and center, with co-stars Peyton List over on the left and Luke Mitchell on the right. If "Different is Dangerous" as the tagline says, we may want to watch out for that trio, as they're about as different as it comes.

The CW 2013 Fall TV Revised Premiere Schedule Shifts The Originals, Reign And Supernatural

The CW has made a few shifts in its Fall 2013 premiere schedule, one of which affects The Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals. It looks like the network has opted to shift the spinoff's premiere date to temporarily pair it with The Vampire Diaries, which will likely give The Originals the benefit of a TVD lead-in and some added support before it moves over to Tuesday nights for its regularly scheduled night.

The CW 2013 Fall TV Premiere Dates Set

The CW has announced their fall premiere schedule, and - as we've seen in the past - they're starting their fall season in October, a couple of weeks after the bulk of the other network television series return and debut. Among the new series to get started at the CW are The Tomorrow People, Reign and Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals.

Reign Trailer Introduces Us To Mary, Queen Of Scots In The CW's New Drama

Among the new series joining The CW's Fall 2013 line-up is Reign, a period drama about Mary Stuart, the woman who would eventually go on to be known as Mary, Queen of Scots. The clip above gives us a look at the re-introduction of a young queen and her betrothed, Francis, a prince who may not be quite ready to settle down and get married. But the two seem to have some chemistry the moment they set eyes on one another. Others don't seem nearly as keen on this relationship, however.

The CW 2013-2014 Schedule Moves Supernatural To Tuesday, Saves Sci-Fi For Midseason

Last among the major networks to unveil their 2013-2014 schedule is The CW. The network has moved a few things around in the new season, in an effort to make room for new series, which include The Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals, action-adventure drama The Tomorrow People and the new historical drama about Mary, Queen of Scots, Reign.

The CW Orders Three Pilots Featuring Aliens And The Queen Of Scots

The CW is going forward with its post-apocalyptic Lord of the Flies-esque drama The Hundred, giving it a pilot order. The network also ordered pilots for the Mary, Queen of Scots project the CW has been developing and a teen alien and human high school romance drama.
