Sony Home Entertainment has issued a recall on several of their more recent top DVD releases. According to an IMDb news story, the studio has discovered an update of their copy-protection system was causing the discs not to be played on some DVD players.

Affected titles include the Will Smith Oscar-nominated film The Pursuit of Happyness, the latest James Bond film Casino Royale, and the Will Ferrell comedy Stranger Than Fiction.

If you have one of these titles and have had problems playing the DVD in your player, contact Sony at 800-860-2878 to arrange for a replacement disc (at no charge, naturally).
