Sony has released a list of the top selling games for PlayStation Network through August and, coming as no surprise to old school first-person shooter fans, Counter-Strike Global Offensive led the charge, taking home the monthly victory as the top gun to beat. It'll probably face some really, really stiff competition from Gearbox Software's Borderlands 2 for September, though.
PlayStation Digital Platforms Community Manager Morgan Haro made this month's figures official through the PlayStation Blog, highlighting other big releases like Sound Shapes for the Vita and, back in the number one spot, Final Fantasy VII as a PS One Classic. Given the recent Vita update that allows a collection of PS1 games to be playable on Sony's newest handheld, it will be interesting to see how those numbers shift through the month of September.
