PlayStation Plus November Lineup Includes Binding Of Isaac, Frozen Synapse And More

October is nearly wrapped up and November is waiting just around the corner, which means it’s about time we find out what games will be added to the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection. According to early reports, we can expect to dive into a revamped version of The Binding of Isaac, as well as games like SteamWorld Dig and the recently released strategy combat game, Frozen Synapse Prime.

Usually we have to wait until a post goes live on the PlayStation Blog to find out what Plus has in store for the upcoming month, but it looks like IGN got their hands on the lineup early, reporting that the games listed for November are good for both the US and Europe.

Leading the pack and causing the most excitement for yours truly is The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Formerly exclusive to computers, this twin-stick shooter with a dark Biblical slant tasks players with taking control of the titular Isaac on a quest to survive a basement swarming with monsters and a mom who introduce her baby boy to the business end of a kitchen knife. Despite that grisly plot, the game rarely takes itself too seriously, with adorable cartoon graphics and your own tears as a primary weapon. Rebirth is listed as a PS4 Plus offering, though it will be available on the Vita as well when it launches next week.

Also arriving as a PS4 Plus offering is SteamWorld Dig. It’s a delightful, steam-powered metroidvania-style exploration game that sees the player diving deep into dangerous caves in order to fight off baddies and collect loot. Available on nearly every platform known to man, you can check it out at no additional charge via Plus starting this November if you’ve still managed to pass it over.

If you’re gaming on the Vita, then Plus’ November roster offers a little something old and a little something new. One of the original Vita games, Escape Plan, will be available next month, alongside the freshly launched title, The Hungry Horde. As you might have guessed from the title, that second game is all about zombies attacking helpless citizens, just in time to bid farewell to Halloween.

Finally, there’s the PlayStation 3 offerings for November, including Fozen Synapse Prime and Luftrausers. The former is a fresh take on the hugely popular PC strategy game that sees players trying to out-maneuver the enemy in a clever shooter while the latter is a super basic, yet super addictive flight game that sees you blasting enemies out of the sky in order to constantly upgrade your plane and chase down the high score.

Just a reminder that, with November’s Plus lineup set to launch next Tuesday, that only gives you a few days to grab anything from the October lineup that you may have had your eye on.
