New Comic Poster For Red Tails Is Made Of Sheer Awesomeness

discussioncomments published: 2011-10-14 18:48:46 Author: Eric Eisenberg
While the event isn't as big as the one in San Diego, New York Comic Con does typically deliver some pretty awesome goodies. Just a few minutes ago we posted an interview with Attack The Block director Joe Cornish, who is out promoting the film's release on DVD and Blu-ray, and tomorrow is Marvel's big presentation for The Avengers. As one could have expected, LucasFilm has a presence at this year's Con promoting their newest film, Red Tails, and they've released a special poster in coordination with the event.

Check out the one-sheet below or full size over on Coming Soon.

I get angry at LucasFilm a lot because of what they've done to the Star Wars franchise, but this really is an awesome poster. While it does serve as an advertisement for the movie - it has the required title and release date - the entire thing looks as though it was done just for fun, and it's full of pulpy goodness. The artwork itself is fantastic and I can't even tell you how disappointed I'll be if one of the pilots in the movie doesn't scream "Die you Nazi dog!"

Red Tails, directed by Anthony Hemingway and written by John Ridley, stars Bryan Cranston, Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, Michael B. Jordan, Tristal Wilds, Andre Royo, David Oyelowo, and Method Man. The film hits theaters on Martin Luther King Weekend next year and to see more from the movie be sure to head over to our Blend Film Database.
