Get Your First Look At The Robots Of Pacific Rim With This New Comic Con Poster!
As excited as we are for movies like Django Unchained, The Hobbit, and Looper, the truth is that their Comic Con panels are likely to be a little more tame simply because audiences have already seen some of the movie. All three films have already released trailers for their upcoming releases, giving fans a chance to grasp the tone and look of the upcoming titles. But there are plenty of films coming to Comic Con that we have seen absolutely nothing from, and one of those projects is Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim. Because the movie won't be released until next summer, we have yet to see a preview for the big action blockbuster, but that should change shortly. During Saturday's Hall H panel it's expected that del Toro will give us our first glimpse at his aliens vs. robots flick. But for those that can't wait a full week or won't be in San Diego for the event, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have delivered a nice little treat.
In advance of the big Hall H panel, which will feature the likes of del Toro, Charlie Hunnam, Charlie Day, Rinko Kikuchi and Ron Perlman on stage, the official Pacific Rim Facebook has posted a teaser poster giving us our first look at one of the film's giant mechs, also known as Jaegers, that the stars use to battle the monsters, also known as Kaiju. Check out the poster below!
In addition to the poster, Warners and Legendary have also outfitted the Facebook page with a official title banner which you can also see now!
Pacific Rim, based on a screenplay by Travis Beacham, is set in a future where a dimensional rift has opened up in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, leading all kinds of otherworldly beasts to leak through. In order to protect the planet, the world's nations authorize the construction of giant robots to fight them off. We'll have full coverage of the movie's Hall H panel next and in the meantime, if you want to see more from the title head over to our Blend Film Database.
