It's unfortunate how many times we've had to write about actors replacing Jude Law in movies as of late. Last month the British star made headlines when he decided to leave the troubled production of Jane's Got A Gun and was replaced by Bradley Cooper, and now it's happening again, albeit in a totally different context and on a totally different movie.

It was all the way back in November of last year when we first learned that Law would be joining the cast of Werner Herzog's upcoming Gertrude Bell biopic Queen of the Desert, but apparently that's yet another movie he won't be a part of, as Deadline is reporting that the actor has been forced to drop out of the project and could be replaced by James Franco. The deal hasn't been settled yet, but should the Oz The Great And Powerful star sign on he would play T.E. Lawrence, the British army officer best known by his nickname Lawrence of Arabia.

Unlike the situation with Jane Got A Gun, which Law dropped because he wouldn't be able to work with director Lynne Ramsay, the site says that Law dropped off of Queen of the Desert so that he would be able to be a part of a production of Henry V. Naomi Watts and Robert Pattinson are still both attached to the Herzog film, which chronicles the life of Bell as "a traveler, writer, archaeologist, explorer, cartographer, and political attaché for the British Empire at the dawn of the 20th Century." As of now the movie is a bit off track, but the site notes that getting Franco to sign on could fix that.
