Director Jon Favreau may not be helming Iron Man movies anymore, but his filmmaking career isn't slowing down at all. He's already set to helm an adaptation of the Broadway musical Jersey Boys and has signed a deal with Disney to direct their upcoming Magic Kingdom project, and now it would seem that a third film has fallen on to his plate.

Favreau is reportedly attached to direct the new drama Battle For Bonneville and already has Ryan Reynolds attached to star, according to Deadline. New Regency is currently in talks to acquire the rights to the film, which tells the true story of Art and Walt Arfons, a pair of half-brothers and former drag racers who teamed up to create a jet-powered car that they eventually used to break the world land speed record three times. Dan Gilroy, who most recently worked on the script for the action-thriller The Bourne Legacy with his brother Tony, wrote the screenplay for the new project. While Magic Kingdom isn't mentioned in the new story, the site says that Favreau will be doing Jersey Boys next and then will likely move on from there to do Bonneville.

Favreau last directed the sci-fi/western Cowboys and Aliens and has been doing a good amount of acting recently, taking roles in movies like the upcoming Seth Gordon comedy Identity Thief, Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, and Shane Black's Iron Man 3 (in which he will be reprising his role as Happy Hogan). Reynolds most recently made a dialogue-less cameo appearance in Seth MacFarlane's Ted and has The Croods, R.I.P.D., and Turbo, set to be released in 2013.
