After battling Somalis in 2001’s Black Hawk Down and then disposing of zombies in the upcoming Resident Evil: Extinction, Matt Marsden has landed a role in another sure-fire classic, Rambo IV: Pearl of the Cobra. He’ll play a mercenary who fights alongside Sylvester Stallone’s title character, reports Variety.
Stallone returned to the ring as Rocky this past winter, so resurrecting the bandana-wearing, BFG-toting Rambo was logically the next step. Just as logical as Marsden’s crappy career choices. Rambo filming begins on Feb. 23 in Thialand. The date for whether Stallone can deliver another over-the-hill commercial success has yet to be determined.
