If you’ve ever wondered why Bill Hader is allowed to remain on SNL, then here’s your answer: He does a wicked impression of Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood.
If you caught Saturday’s episode of Saturday Night Live, then you saw Hader as Daniel Planview and Amy Poehler as his son and partner HW Planview doing a hilarious sketch based on There Will Be Blood, in which Daniel hosts a Food Network show called, appropriately, “I Drink Your Milkshake”. Planview is an oil man, but when he’s not doing that, he’s on a countrywide quest for his second love: The perfect milkshake.

See, for me, that sketch just toed the line between actually parodying something and just imitiating it and expecting the imitation itself to be funny. But Amy Poehler as H.W. was hilarious, as was the show's theme song. "They call it liquid gold/But I prefer my liquid cold."
