Star Wars fans are riding high after Lucasfilm’s announcement that Episode III will be rated PG-13 and thus also, presumably darker. So, just to kick us all in the gut, they’re releasing a slew of new, super-happy, super-fun television spots which miss only a scene full of dancing Ewoks to fit perfectly in between a cereal commercial and the latest cartoon featuring that blight on creativity known as card battling.

Rejoice in Darth Vader and spout witty catch-phrases while an overly chipper movie-voice narrator talks endlessly about how super-gear-cool Star Wars is! I think I’m gonna be sick. But, tone aside, these three TV spots below have some fantastic new images in them, including the rather familiar looking one of C3PO that I’ve posted to the right. Click each below, watch, and maybe do so without the volume. If you don’t download them below, you’ll probably have to catch them on Nickelodeon.
