It's strange to think about, but it's been a year since Steven Soderbergh got kicked off the production of Michael Lewis' Moneyball and Aaron Sorkin was hired to rewrite the script. Since then, the film has continued to experience delays, though, at the same time, picked up an all-star cast of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Robin Wright and Jonah Hill to act alongside Brad Pitt. The film is finally set to start filming this month, but doing so will require them to fill out their cast a bit more, and some of the characters that need casting will be Oakland Athletics players from the 2002, the start of the Billy Beane era. Turns out David Justice is the first one to be cast.

THR reports that actor Stephen Bishop has signed on to play the outfielder in the film to be directed by Bennett Miller. Primarily a TV actor, working on shows like Lost and CSI: Miami, Bishop has some film experience including roles in Friday Night Lights and The Rundown. The 2002 season was actually the last for Justice, who played the bulk of his career in Atlanta.

The role won't likely be an integral part of the film, so really this is just a matter of looking the part. Does he succeed? Yup. No problems here.
