V/H/S Will Find Its Way On To Blu-ray On December 4
Holiday Blu-ray and DVD releases have been touted left and right over the last few weeks, and the main flurry of releases is about to begin, with some titles popping up around the Thanksgiving holiday. The whole deal won't end until after Santa shimmies down a bunch of chimneys and gets his suit all sooty. There’s plenty of holiday releases to choose from, and horror fans should be pleased as punch to add V/H/S to the list.
V/H/S is hitting Blu-ray and DVD on December 4. The found-footage horror flick is sometimes creepy and other times horrifying. This is mostly due to the story, which follows a vignette format told by a multitude of different directors, including David Bruckner, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Adam Wingard, Joe Swanberg, and Radio Silence, among others. Without one consistent storyline and with a revolving crew and cast of characters, the film may not be everyone’s favorite horror flick, but V/H/S is a unique movie, and it’s certainly worth giving a watch.
Both Blu-ray and DVD copies of the flick will come with the same extras and will be similarly priced. While neither set will go above and beyond with the packaging and bonus features (a few deleted scenes and some behind-the-scenes footage is about as exciting as the disc gets), neither will be particularly costly to buyers, either. Blu-ray copies of V/H/S will run for $29.98 and DVD copies of the film will only cost $26.98. You can check out the complete list of bonus features, below, although I’m not certain we should really count the listed trailers as actual bonuses.
