Frozen Short Reveals Preview Of First Song, Listen To It Now

Even though Frozen came out in 2013, there's a solid chance that you've only just gotten "Let It Go" and the film's other catchy earworms out of your head. Well, get ready for a whole new musical, storm because a lot of new Frozen songs are on the way. The new Frozen short, Olaf's Frozen Adventure, is set to debut in front of Pixar's Coco later this year with four new songs. Idina Menzel was kind enough to preview one of these, and you can hear a small part of "When We're Together" in the clip below.

Idina Menzel, the voice of Frozen's Elsa, posted the first preview of an all-new Frozen song on Twitter. Called "When We're Together," the song will make its debut in Olaf's Frozen Adventure. While it's difficult to judge any song with only 30 seconds of music, it sounds like the "When We're Together" is the big number of the short. The feel-good family track is a duet performed by Menzel and Kristen Bell (Anna), and you might want to prepare yourself to hear it on blast in your house around the holiday season.

Olaf's Frozen Adventure sees the return of Anna, Elsa and Olaf in a new wintery adventure. The short follows Josh Gad's Olaf on a quest with the reindeer Sven to find a new holiday tradition for Anna and Elsa, who don't have one on account of Elsa being locked in a room for most of her life. Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers directed, and Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson wrote four new songs for the featurette. Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff all return to reprise their roles from Disney's modern day classic.

And don't forget that there's more Frozen coming in the future. While Disney has been keeping everyone distracted with new short films, the studio has been hard at work on Frozen 2, which I'd imagine has the ungodly pressure to live up to the impact of the first movie. All the main cast members are returning for the film, but there are not currently any details on plot or music available. The sequel is scheduled to land in theaters on November 27, 2019. There's also a Broadway stage musical currently gearing up for production early next year.

You can watch Olaf's Frozen Adventure in front of Pixar's Coco, which is all set to hit theaters on November 22.
