After a decently long and sometimes tumultuous marriage, actress Diane Lane and actor Josh Brolin have decided to call it quits. The couple split up a couple of months ago, and their rep confirmed they are officially on the path to divorce on Thursday.

The couple were married in August of 2004, which puts their marriage at just over the eight-year mark, provided they did split a couple of months ago. The couple has had some bad times in the headlines, with a police call early in the marriage resulting in a misdemeanor battery charge for Brolin. The couple later stated the event was a complete misunderstanding and seemed to be doing well in the later years of their marriage. A source close to US Weekly says the break-up was no big deal.
“ It was a mutual decision. It is very amicable. It's not ugly, it's just over."

The two have no children together and if the split was really amicable, it’s highly unlikely that there will be public court fights or any arguments when splitting their assets. After all, this will be the second divorce for both parties and so they have certainly gone through the rigmarole, before. Brolin was formerly married to actress Alice Adair and Lane was married to actor Christopher Lambert. Perhaps the two should search outside the acting realm when they next seek a partner, since the acting thing doesn't seem to be working out in the long-term. Either way, Pop Blend would like to wish the very best to the two actors as they move forward, apart.
