Check Out Eddie Thawne Back On The Set Of The Flash

Comic book fans already know that death is seldom permanent in the world of superheroes. Through magic, science, or countless other means, people always find ways to come back to life. One character from The Flash whose death has remained oddly permanent is none other than Rick Cosnett's Eddie Thawne -- but that's set to change very soon. We have known for some time that Eddie would eventually make his way back to Central City, and now it seems that the first major step towards that resurrection has been taken. In fact, Cosnett recently returned to The Flash set and snapped a few photos to commemorate the joyous reunion. Check out his post below to see for yourself.

That's right, folks. Rick Cosnett is finally back on the set of The Flash, and he has reunited with his partner Jesse L. Martin. I have to say, it is a pretty great sight, as Eddie Thawne and Joe West were like the Riggs and Murtaugh of the Arrow-verse during The Flash's first season. Barry and Iris may be fated to be together one day, but it's still safe to say that we have missed Iris' former love interest since his selfless sacrifice against Reverse-Flash at the end of Season 1. Welcome Back, Mr. Cosnett.

Of course, Jesse L. Martin was not the only Flash star that Cosnett met up with during his time on the set, as the returning actor got to hang out with the entire West family (and Barry) during the reunion when Grant Gustin and Candice Patton joined in for another Twitter photo. Check it out, below.

You have to admit that Rick Cosnett works pretty fast -- even for The Flash. He has only been back on the set of The Flash for a short time, and he has already (quite literally) come between Barry and Iris. Could another love triangle be on the horizon? We will have to wait and see.

As excited as we are to see Eddie Thawne return to Central City, the fact remains that his reasons for returning have yet to receive a proper explanation. Will he pop up in a simple flashback sequence? Will Barry travel back in time to see him? Is Eddie somehow alive due to the ramifications of Flashpoint? At this point, we have more questions than answers, but we are sure that everything will receive an explanation very soon.

We will keep you posted with more details regarding Eddie Thawne's future on The Flash as more updates become available. The Scarlet Speedster's solo series airs every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
