Like Revenge, Malibu Country is still awaiting word on its fate at ABC. And also like Revenge, if the ABC series does move forward for another season, it will be doing so with a new showrunner. Nastaran Dibai is reportedly departing the series, which already wrapped up its first season last month.
While it’s been bad news for a couple of series today, there is some good news to report as well. ABC has ordered five more episodes each for their Friday night comedies Last Man Standing and newcomer Malibu Country, which ranks as the most watched new comedy this season.

Those who've missed seeing Reba on television will be happy with what ABC has set up on their 2012-2013 schedule. Joining ABC's Friday night line-up later this year is Malibu Country, a comedy series starring Reba as a newly divorced woman who's ready to move on with her life and heads to California with her kids to do it.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen the wonderful Lily Tomlin on a regular TV role, but there’s hope we might see it soon. She has signed on for a role in the Reba McEntire pilot for ABC, Malibu Country. She’ll take on a lead opposite Reba herself, playing the country singer turned TV actress’ mother.
