MTV has some interesting things lined up for Comic-Con this year, including a panel for the return of Beavis and Butthead. As a fan of the original B&B, I have my reservations about whether there’s a place for the duo among today’s youth, so I’m more than a little bit curious to see how the series is showcased at the panel, which will feature creator Mike Judge and Jackass’ Johnny Knoxville.
It’s not that I don’t think kids today will be able to appreciate Beavis and Butthead. In fact, the more I think about the two teens trolling the internet for ridiculous photos and videos, making fun of reality TV, and whatever else a modern Beavis and Butthead might be into, the more intrigued I am at the thought of the show’s return. The Comic-Con panel, which is scheduled for Thursday, July 21st, ranks higher than average on my list of events I’d like to see, especially because MTV promises to treat attendees to an exclusive first look at scenes from all new episodes.
Also set to be featured with a panel at the 2011 Comic-Con in San Diego this year is the new horror-comedy Death Valley. Wes Craven (Scream, A Nightmare on Elm Street) will be there to talk to the cast and the show’s producers and fans will have the opportunity to an exclusive first look at the first episode, as well as a teaser for the season.
Teen Wolf’s panel will feature the cast and producers, as well as an exclusive look at highlights from episodes that have yet to air. Fans will also have the opportunity to get autographs from the cast at a signing scheduled before the panel (see schedule below).
The fantastic cast of MTV’s new animated comedy Good Vibes will be present at the show’s panel. This includes Adam Brody, Jake Busey, Tony Hale, Debi Mazar and Alan Tudyk. Creator David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express, Eastbound & Down) will also be there to talk about the show.
Finally, Stan Lee fans won’t want to miss the panel for “MTV Geek!” Info on that below, along with the schedule with times and locations for all of MTV’s panels.
