Since the beginning of ABC's freshman drama series Revenge, Emily Thorne has been dead set on getting revenge on the people who wronged her father and basically destroyed her life. It seems like we have a pretty good idea as to what's driving Emily, but the preview for next week's episode suggests that there's more to the story… and it could be something big.
Are you ready to go back in time a decade? Next Wednesday's episode, titled "Legacy" shows us what started Emily's revenge-scheming, back when she was still going by Amanda Clarke and apparently, a wayward and reckless girl. Here's ABC's official description for the episode…
"Legacy" - The year is 2002 in the Hamptons... Emily, who is still Amanda Clarke, is wayward and reckless until Nolan convinces her to read her father's journals. It is then that it all starts sinking in, and Amanda starts staking out the Grayson home, identifying all the Grayson Global players her father described, and piecing together the truth. Her anger builds into determination and focus; this is where it all begins - the genesis of Amanda's ultimate plan to bring justice to her father -- on Revenge, WEDNESDAY, MAY 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
The video gives us a few glimpses of Emily during her partying days, but mostly focuses on her snooping around the Graysons and the other wealthy people who might have been involved in what happened to her father…

Here are a couple of photos from the episode, one of which gives us a look at Emily in her server-disguise, and the others show Nolan in his 2002 look, and an encounter he has in Emily...
