The Voice Goes Live Tonight For The Start Of The Playoffs

After weeks of blind auditions, battles and knock-outs, The Voice's fourth season is finally ready to go live! The Live Playoffs begin tonight as part of a three-night event on NBC. And as the teaser above indicates, this event also includes a performance by former judge Cee Lo Green, which you'll have to see to believe. Given Cee Lo's flare for dramatic costumes and performances, NBC may not be exaggerating there.

With the battles wrapped up, leaving many artists eliminated and a few stolen by other mentors, there are sixteen contestants remaining in this competition - four a piece for each judge. Which judge has the best team? That's for America to decide now. With the singing competition going live, America will finally get to weigh in where it counts to decide which of these contestants has "the voice" and should make it through to the next round.

Blake Shelton has two winners under his belt, with Season 2's Jermaine Paul and Season 3's Cassadee Pope. The other winner is the first winner, Javier Colon, who won under Adam Levine's mentorship. Cee Lo and Christina Aguilera failed mentor a winner during their tenure as judges. Will Shakira or Usher manage to secure a win for one of their artists? And will any of the judges manage to unseat Shelton as the reigning mentor? We'll find out when Season 4 wraps up. In the meantime, tune in for the start of the playoffs tonight (Monday) at 8/7c on NBC.
