Hot Fuzz Keeps Poster Art For DVD

We mentioned previously the upcoming July 31st DVD release for Hot Fuzz, the latest comedy from Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost. It’s a send up of action movies along the same vein as their previous movie Shaun of the Dead and is part two of their “31 Flavors Trilogy”. Now we’ve gotten a look at the cover art.

The studio has wisely gone with the poster art for the film for the DVD cover. This was a great image, capturing the feel Hot Fuzz is trying to create while paying homage to other action flicks, most notably the Martin Lawrence / Will Smith cop-buddy movie Bad Boys. Keeping it for the DVD release is a great move.

For those who missed the previous story, here’s what the disc is carrying in the way of bonus materials – fully loaded, like you’d expect:

DVD and HD DVD Combo Disc include:

  • Deleted Scenes With Filmmaker Commentary – For fans who just can’t get enough Hot Fuzz, more than 20 minutes of deleted scenes with exclusive filmmaker commentary!
  • Outtakes
  • The Fuzzball Rally: US Tour Piece – Follow Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Edgar Wright on their nationwide U.S. press tour.
  • The Man Who Would Be Fuzz – Simon Pegg and Nick Frost hit their marks as Sean Connery and Michael Caine playing out a scene from the movie.
  • Fuzz-O-Meter – Fuzz fanatics can access a special trivia track during the film for a running recount of little-known facts about the film and its stars.
  • Audio Commentary With Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright
  • Hot Funk - Montage of clips using the “clean” dialogue from the TV and airline version of the film.
  • Danny’s Notebook: The Other Side
  • Storyboards
  • Theatrical Trailers
