Subscribe To Disappointing New Pokemon Sun/Moon Footage Revealed Updates
It was previously reported that Nintendo and the Pokemon Company would reveal some new footage of Pokemon Sun and Moon on April 3rd during a Japanese variety show. Well, they unveiled footage that was new to Japanese viewers, but it was not new to everyone else in the rest of the world.

Essentially they recycled the content that they showcased during the Nintendo Direct of Pokemon Sun and Moon to the Japanese gaming audience. There was no new gameplay footage revealed, as you can see in the trailer below, courtesy of YouTuber MyGamingBoulevard.

The ratings on the video say it all. Fans are not pleased.

A lot of people are angry and confused about the lack of gameplay showcased in the trailer after it was promised to the fans that there would be gameplay on display of Pokemon Sun and Moon.

Back on March 26th, Gematsu had gleefully reported that director Junichi Masuda, battle director Shigeki Morimoto, and game director Shigeru Ohmori would all appear on the variety show to talk about the upcoming game, some of its new features, and to showcase new gameplay footage. They now have an update on the article explaining that there is no new footage and that it was the same as the trailer that aired in February.

Another YouTuber actually streamed the entire show from start to finish, so you can see all 30 minutes of it just in case you think that you can spot something no one else can. You can check it out below from Giancarloparimango11's channel.

Some people are so mad that they're actually reporting giancarloparimango11's channel for misleading content. At the time of writing this article, the video has more than 12,000 downvotes, compared to only 7,000 upvotes.

Technically it's not really his fault given that everyone was told that today would be the day we get gameplay footage of the upcoming Pokemon title.

Instead, they just aired the trailer from February for the Japanese gaming audience. So while it was new for them it was old for the rest of the world.

It wasn't all bust, though. As mentioned in the Gematsu piece, they did reveal that there will be 10 brand new Pokemon for gamers to capture in the upcoming Pokemon Sun and Moon.

Gamers and fans of Pokemon alike are still going to have to wait to actually see any real footage of the newest game in the series.

Not everyone took this bait-and-switch in such a bad way, though. Some felt it was just a late April Fool's joke from the developers.

In the meantime, you'll still have to sit around and wait to actually see Pokemon Sun and Moon's gameplay in action. There's no telling when that might actually happen.

The two new titles are set to release on the Nintendo 3DS later this year during the holiday season.
