Last week a game inspired by the Aliens film series, Dead Space 3 hit store shelves and digital release on the PlayStation Network. This week, a game that's actually set within that universe, Aliens: Colonial Marines, headlines the list of titles releasing digitally to PSN.

They say that in space, nobody can hear you scream. Tell that to all of the Colonial Marines being hunted by xenomorphs in Aliens: Colonial Marines. I'm pretty sure that, if you pick up the game this week in stores or through PSN, you'll hear lots and lots of space soldiers giving the ole vocal cords a good workout. Colonial Marines kicks off the list of games releasing to Sony's online marketplace this week, offering a brand new Aliens experience that actually serves as canon to the storyline established by the films.

If you want to go the complete opposite route of first-person alien shooting on the home console, however, then you might want to check out the latest free offering for the PlayStation Vita, Ecolibrium. Basically, you get to set up various ecosystems of bizarre creatures, raise them, hunt for new ones, then trade them online. It's free, it's unique, and it's launching tomorrow.

Ecolibrium will be joined by the handheld release of Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken on the Vita tomorrow, along with a cross-buy copy of top-down shooter Alien Breed. The whole list is rounded out by the digital release of fighting game Persona 4 Arena, booty-shaker Everybody Dance and card battler Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Decade Duels Plus. And for you car combat fans in the audience, Twisted Metal: Black for the PS2 will be joined by the original Twisted Metal for the Psone, as well as PS2 title Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk.

Look for these games, along with the usual batch of demos, trailers, DLC and more, to hit the PlayStation Network during its regular weekly update tomorrow afternoon.
