Ubisoft decided to start of the week with a large batch of screenshots from Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation. The game is soundly proving Sony's claim that the PS Vita can deliver console-caliber visuals.

Liberation takes place between the years of 1765 and 1760 in the New Orleans area. Players take on the role of Aveline, the first female Assassin in the series. She'll war against the Templars throughout the city as well as in the surrounding bayou.

The campaign will even take players to Mexico. One screenshot shows Aveline fighting soldiers near Mayan pyramids. If this territory in Mexico is part of the explorable open world, then Liberation sounds like a huge game.

Liberation will make its North American debut on October 30th, the same day that Assassin's Creed 3 arrives on consoles.
