UbiWorkshop, the Ubisoft subsidiary devoted to bringing the company's games into other entertainment mediums, has announced their own special edition of Assassin's Creed 3. The Assassin's Creed 3 UbiWorkshop Edition is now available for pre-order on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

The UbiWorkshop Edition is designed for people who are obsessed with the storyline of the Assassin's Creed series. It doesn't come with any bonus DLC or t-shirts or anything like that. Instead, its extras flesh out the backstory.

The first bonus in this special edition is Assassin’s Creed Subject 4, a graphic novel combining the comic series Assassin’s Creed: The Fall and upcoming sequel Assassin's Creed: The Chain. This graphic novel tells the story of Daniel Cross and his ancestor, an Assassin in Russia named Nikolai Orelov.

The Assassin’s Creed Encyclopedia Second Edition is an all-in-one guide to AC lore. It includes information on the events of AC3 and The Chain. Might want to hold off on reading it until after you've played the game and read the graphic novel, then.

You can pre-order the UbiWorkshop Edition here. It's $99.99 with free worldwide shipping only until July 4th. After that, it'll cost $109.99 to order.
