Ubisoft announced today that award-winning illustrators Cameron Stewart and Karl Kerschl are creating an Assassin's Creed comic book. The mini-series will be released this fall.

The comic will be given a proper reveal at San Diego Comic Con. Stewart and Kerschl will be attending a panel discussion entitled "Assassin’s Creed: Behind and Beyond the Brotherhood" on July 22nd. The press release notes that they visited Saint Petersburg, Russia to research the project. That detail, along with the new teaser trailer, indicates the comic's setting.

The comic is part a larger program called UbiWorkshop that seeks to bring Ubisoft's licenses to other entertainment mediums. UbiWorkshop previously caused a stir by releasing a teaser image of an Assassin in front of a pyramid. That picture suggests that this series might not be limited to a single country.
