Jesper Kyd is making a return to the Assassin’s Creed franchise with a brand new soundtrack that’s scheduled to release a day before Assassin’s Creed II hits store shelves. It was recently announced that his soundtrack would be available via popular digital music stores and that gamers and music enthusiast alike will be able to get their hands on the soundtrack once November 16th rolls around.

According to the press release…
Following his atmospheric score for the original Assassin's Creed, Kyd takes the music in an adventurous new direction and crafts an immensely diverse, melodic and progressive musical pallete featuring acoustic and symphonic orchestrations with emotional depth and diversity

Jesper Kyd is definitely a noteworthy name in the industry and the soundtrack is probably worth checking out if you liked any of the stuff Kyd did for the original Assassin’s Creed or the Hitman games. Added to this, not every game out there has cool music worth listening to, so that says a lot when a video game composer can stand out of the herd like that, sort of how Nobuo Uematsu or Yasunori Mitsuda made waves during the golden age of SNES era with great RPG soundtracks.

Kyd shared a few words in the press release, saying…
"We created a unique musical identity for Assassin's Creed II that reflects the character and story of Ezio and elevated the music, both in terms of creativity and live production, to a whole new level."
