Today Ubisoft revealed loads more about the upcoming shooter Call of Juarez: The Cartel. They've also sent out a trailer for those of you who don't like words.
The Cartel takes place in the present day. A drug cartel bombs a U.S. law enforcement agency, killing hundreds. The government puts together a special task force to take down the cartel once and for all.
One of the members of the task force is Ben McCall, an LAPD detective and a descendant of Ray McCall from the first two Juarez games. He's joined on his mission by Kim Evans, an FBI agent and former street kid, and Eddie Guerra, a DEA agent with a gambling problem. All three characters are playable, and each has their own story and ending. The game will support three-player co-op online.
The team's journey will take them through Los Angeles, Arizona, New Mexico, and then finally Mexico itself. The campaign's filled with undercover missions, raids, witness protection, and car chases. Because the game's set in the modern times, you'll have access to a wide range of weaponry including machine guns, sniper rifles, and anti-air weapons.
The Cartel is slated for release this summer on the PS3, PC, and Xbox 360.
