Okay, so we’ve already established that Dead Island’s starting gate marketing tactics was unbelievably good, so much so that the trailer is pretty much guaranteed to walk away with a lot of awards this year and probably make it on a ton of top 10 lists. After making such an establishment, it’s now time to carry over that excitement from the trailer and over onto the screenshots. The only problem is that the screenshots don’t move, moan, crawl or limp horrifically after little girls while moving in reverse.

If you can wrap your head around the idea that the following screenshots – while entirely in-game, of course – don’t really maintain the pizzazz and panache of the debut trailer, then you’ll probably appreciate them a whole lot more.
