Namco Bandai has confirmed that production for Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi has been approved and the game will be making its way onto retail shelves for the Xbox 360 and PS3 before the month is out.
The newest DBZ game from Namco Bandai isn’t just another rehashed anime-fighting game with an unspeakably large roster and samey looking arenas. Namco really stepped up to the plate and brought something new with them this time around.
For the first time in a Dragon Ball Z game players are able to craft, level-up and transform their very own Z Warrior. You can outfit your fighter with a variety of skin colors, hairstyles, accessories and powers, as well as travel around in the brand new Hero Mode and challenge other fighters in a completely open world in order to amp up and increase your fighter’s capabilities. What’s more is that there’s even an option to eventually get your warrior so strong that they can become a Super Saiyan. After that point it’s time to take them online and battle against your friends to see who the strongest fighter in the universe is.
Ultimate Tenkaichi also boasts a brand new engine for destructible environments, a brand new story mode and many of your favorite fighters from the television series.
Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi is set for release on October 25th alongside Battlefield 3. You can learn more about the new fighting game by heading on over to the Official Website.
