Due out later this year for the PS3 and Nintendo 3DS, Capcom released some new screenshots of the upcoming third-person shooter E.X. Troopers, which is a franchise spin-off of Capcom's other third-person shooter, Lost Planet.
The screenshots come courtesy of Gaming Everything who let loose close to two dozen new in-game shots of the cel-shaded characters doing what they do best: whoop alien butt and look good while doing it.
According to Siliconera, Resident Evil 5 director Yasuhiro Anpo and Monster Hunter Tri producer Shintaro Kojima will be helming the project, so at least you know the game will be quality-ridden with high-end action and top-notch entertainment values.
The game itself plays out almost identical to Alaplay's S4 League, save that it's set within the Lost Planet universe, so that means plenty of giant arachnid type creatures, lots of snowy landscapes and plenty of over-the-top, sci-fi weaponry and enemies to encounter.
I'm definitely looking forward to this game given that it's at least not another Gears of War or Uncharted ripoff. And I'm glad a company is finally utilizing play-mechanics like S4 League because that style of gameplay is long overdue for today's generation of anime-based third-person shooters.
