After stomping bugs into icky goo for the Xbox 360 and PS3, D3 and Vicious Cycle are bringing the third-person insect-invasion game to PC via Steam. The game will return local co-op as well as the online four-player co-op campaign, so you and three of your friends can blast the city to bits while ripping bugs to shreds.
As stated in the press release…
The nonstop action gameplay in Insect Armageddon is the fastest and deadliest in the series. To arm the soldiers, players can purchase weapons or nab weapon pick-ups dropped by special enemies and can earn armor upgrades with each level gained. In addition, the game also features a six-player Survival mode that pits a human squad against a nonstop onslaught of the largest enemies the aliens have to offer.
The completely destructible city is your playground and a huge variety of bugs, weapons, armor and special items are all up for grabs. If you’ve been looking for more third-person shooters similar to Capcom’s Lost Planet, then EDF: Insect Armageddon isn’t a bad way to go. That’s also not to mention that there aren’t many multiplayer, cooperative third-person shooters available on the market anyway.
The game will be available exclusively on Steam this holiday season for PC. The price announcement will be arriving soon. You can learn more about the game by visiting the Official Website.
