Square Enix will be offering gamers a Collector's Edition of Final Fantasy XIII-2 early next year. A limited amount of the $79.99 bundle are being sold by GameStop, Amazon and Best Buy.

It seems Square didn't decide to make a ridiculous CE with a statue or replica sword or whatever. The bundle includes a four-disc official soundtrack as well as a full-color concept art collection. The special packaging for the CE features artwork from Yoshitaka Amano. A picture of the CE is below.

If you pre-order either the standard or Collector's Editions of FFXIII-2 through those three retailers, you'll receive additional benefits. GameStop will give you an alternate costume for main character Serah. Best Buy pre-order customers will get FINAL FANTASY XIII –Episode i, a novella that bridges the gap between FFXIII and FFXIII-2. Reserving your copy through Amazon will unlock a boss battle against Omega. If you defeat Omega, he'll join your party.

After the events of FFXIII, hero Lightning disappears. Her sister Serah is one of the few who believes she's still alive. In FFXIII-2, she teams up with a mysterious youth named Noel to find her.

FFXIII-2 will launch in North America on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on January 31st.
