BigPoint Software’s The Mummy Online has officially entered closed beta, and gamers can sign up right now to participate. I’m warning you right now, though, to be a browser-based game it looks way better than it should and actually has really good graphics.
Based on the movie franchise of the same name, The Mummy Online is an action-oriented browser game that sees players taking on the role of treasure raiders in search of lost artifacts. The only problem is that there's a little obstacle called undead creatures, Egyptian mummies and supernatural forces kind of standing in the way.
Arash Amini, Producer at Bigpoint commented that…
“We’re excited to get The Mummy Online into the hands of the fans,”… “As is the case with our entire portfolio of games, which can be improved and optimized on the fly, community feedback will be critical to this project’s success.”
The game runs within the Unity app in browsers and is an isometric third-person action-adventure cooperative MMORPG. Gamers will play with friends, venture through pyramid mazes, fight off the undead and loot the ancients for all sorts of treasures and goodies. As mentioned, the game looks surprisingly good and even if you aren’t a graphics whore the game will still run with top-notch visuals on older PCs.
If you’re looking for a fun pastime game to experience with a few friends then The Mummy Online looks like it could be shaping up to be a worthy online title just for that.
You can sign-up to participate in the closed beta right now to test out The Mummy Online as it preps for a wide-release when it goes open-beta. To learn more about the game be sure to visit the Official Website.
