PlanetSide 2 Could Come To Xbox 360, PS3

Sony Online Entertainment has slowly been leaking more and more news and info about the upcoming PlanetSide 2. Well, in a recent interview Josh Hackney, Executive Producer for PlanetSide 2 mentioned that a console port is definitely a possibility, but how well Sony or MS takes to the concept is an entirely different matter.

The news comes courtesy of Digital Trends, who really does an excellent job of pumping out a load of information on PlanetSide 2 and gives gamers a reason to be excited for the title, along with its new microtransaction model. Hackney mentioned that...

"We’re talking about it right now,” .... “Our primary focus has been getting this version out. I wouldn’t rule it out for some time in the future.”“For us, more than anything else, players are everything. We wanted to give everyone the chance to get in” ... “If you go back two or three years, the expectations and the thoughts on what the quality of a free-to-play game was, is completely different than what it is now.”

Digital Trends suspects that the game could arrive in some scaled-down form as a potential XBLA or PSN title. Of course, it wouldn't feature the same 1,000 vs 1,000 world-scale battle system like the PC version but it might be able to retain some of the elements that make PlanetSide 2 a highly awaited title.

What's more is that you can check out more than 45 minutes of actual gameplay with a brand new off-screen gameplay video, which you can view below.
