It seems that another Pokemon game is in the works. Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc. - the three copyright holders for the Pokemon franchises have filed a trademark application for the title Pokemon Adventure Camp.

The trademarked title, spotted by Siliconera, might be for a spin-off game. It's possible that it will be like the two PokePark games that Creatures Inc. released in 2008 and 2011 for the Wii. In these games, players navigated an amusement park and participated at minigames at each of the park's attractions.

There are currently three known Pokemon games in development. Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition, a crossover strategy game, will debut in Japan in March. Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 are due in June. All of these games are for the DS. Presumably Adventure Camp will, like PokePark, be a Wii release.

There's also a possibility that Camp is a 3DS title. The only Pokemon game designed specifically for the 3DS thus far has been last year's Pokemon Rumble Blast. Still, the 3DS can play all the DS Pokemon games so it's not like that segment of gamers is being neglected.

But who knows, Adventure Camp could also be a Wii U game. Nintendo has yet to announce any Pokemon games for that system. If you're going to launch a console, you might as well support it with one of your top software franchises, right?
