'You're Like The Sidekick' We Talked To Fans About Why They Like Movies In IMAX
It's the best way to see a movie.

It's Summer movie season, and judging by the box office, a lot of fans are taking advantage of it. Screenings have been bursting with happy and excited fans for weeks as hit films like How To Train Your Dragon, Lilo & Stitch and what feels like a half dozen more have done big business. It seems like the better question for most fans hasn't been whether they're going to see these movies but instead how they're going to see these movies.
At its most basic, the question is whether or not to opt for premium formats, and as premium formats go, there is no bigger game in town than IMAX. We've been working alongside the innovative brand for the past few years to learn more about how the tech works and how they collaborate with filmmakers. More recently, we decided to talk directly to fans and ask what it is they like about IMAX so much. Here's a roundup of what they told us...
You can clearly notice some recurring themes in those answers. Over and over again, fans talked to us about how IMAX makes them feel like they're right there. It makes them feel like they're immersed in whatever is going on. It removes the barrier and helps them lose themselves in the movie, which is the whole goal for most people.
Fortunately, there will be plenty of chances to do just that this summer too. There are a bunch of huge movies that were shot specifically for IMAX including F1 the Movie, Superman and Fantastic Four. Each one will definitely be a major topic of conversation this Summer. They're the type of movies you want to see with a packed house, and AMC Theatres will be offering plenty of showtimes in IMAX all summer.
You can grab your tickets over at the AMC Theatres website, which has all three major titles either on sale or available for preorder.
