The Daily Show's Samantha Bee and Jason Jones Writing A Script For Warner Bros.

Much like Saturday Night Live, The Daily Show has become a hot-spot for young comedic talent to find exposure and then fame. Since first airing back in 1996, the show has graduated Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Rob Corddry, Ed Helms, and many others to movie and television stardom. Now, two more are ready to emerge, only this time it will be from behind the camera

Pajiba, through the source known as The Hollywood Cog, is reporting that Samantha Bee and Jason Jones, who have been on Jon Stewart's show from 2003 and 2005 respectively, have been writing a film called The Man Hunters. The script is about two 40-year-old women "who use unorthodox means" to find men. The film is set to be made by Warner Bros. with Bob Shaye producing.

Color me intrigued by the use of the word "unorthodox." It's a vague word that could range from dressing up like a hooker to lining up bear traps outside the local bar. Being a fan of The Daily Show for years know and learning what Bee and Jones find humorous, I wouldn't be surprised if it's the latter. Also, when you consider that Bee will be turning 41 in October, is there any chance that she isn't writing this with herself in mind to star?
