Edgar Wright Takes Pictures Of Beautiful Women

It makes sense that Edgar Wright, having made such geek-friendly movies as Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, would turn out to be a bit of a geek himself. That's at least how he seems on his MySpace blog, where he's been posting photos from Toronto as he gets started on Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. The photos seem as much for the fan's satisfaction as his own-- like "Hey, can you believe I get to do this?"

Two of the latest photos give us a look at the actresses who will play two major female roles-- Ramona (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), the girl for whom Scott (Michael Cera) must fight seven evil ex-boyfriends, and Knives Chau (Ellen Wong), Scott's ex. Apparently Edgar Wright is spending his time driving around Toronto with two beautiful young actresses, since one of these photos is taken on a bus, and the other in a car. But hey, at least he's good enough to share, and get us excited about the people who will bring these well-loved characters to life.

You can check out of the photos below, and check out The Playlist's awesome side-by-side comparison of the actors and their characters. And be sure to keep reading Edgar Wright's blog, as he continues catering to the geeks in all of us.
