The teaser posters for Quantum of Solace have been amazing, but it was only a matter of time before we got a real poster, with peoples actual faces on it. And while the final poster for Quantum of Solace has a lot to offer-- especially that mysterious burning building in the background!-- I kinda miss the solitary image of Bond cocking a gigantic gun as he walks over a hillside.
ComingSoon.net got their hands on the new poster, part of which you can see at right-- click over there for the rest. The woman Bond is standing next to is Olga Kurylenko, presumably one of the several new Bond women for this go-round. I like how they both look a little worn out, the way you would after a night of fighting, and yet Bond's suit is still perfectly crisp and tailored. And the red-orange color scheme is nice, so different from the steely blues of the Casino Royale poster. Even if the whole thing is kinda blah, it definitely gets the message across-- solace is exactly what these two need.
The new version of Bond we've been given is a balance between flashy new fight scenes and realism, that includes real emotions and real injury. Clearly, it's the second half of that equation they're selling here. So what do you think? Does it work?
