A couple weeks ago a report came out saying that David Fincher has a three hour cut of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo getting set to be released on December 21st. That, of course, is an abnormal runtime for a movie that exists outside of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings series, but it's been reflected in the movie's marketing. Back in September a four minute theatrical trailer - approximately twice as long as the average - arrived online and just last week we posted not only a standard 30 second television spot, but a minute-long advertisement as well. Now we have yet another new TV ad, but not only is it once again extended, it contains a good deal of new footage.

Check out the new preview below or in HD over on The Movie Box.

I think I'm going to dub this "The Lisbeth Spot." While just about every other trailer for the movie has had a heavy focus on Daniel Craig's disgraced journalist Mikael Blomkvist and Christopher Plummers' retired industrialist Henrik Vanger, this one minute preview is all Lisbeth Salander, played by Rooney Mara, all the time. That's not to say that she hasn't been represented enough in the previous videos, but considering that she's the most fascinating character in the book, it's about time that she got her own trailer.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo also stars Stellan Skarsgård , Steven Berkoff, Robin Wright, Yorick van Wageningen, and Joely Richardson. For more about the movie, including posters, images, trailers and more, be sure to head over to our Blend Film Database.
