Killshot Trailer Hits

Elmore Leonard is sorta hit or miss when it comes to adaptations. For every Out Of Sight or Valdez Is Coming there’s a Be Cool or Big Bounce. The buzz has been that Killshot is much more of the latter than the former and it does seem a little odd that they’ve hired the man behind Shakespeare In Love and Captain Correlli’s Mandolin to make a badass hitman movie. The whole thing looks like A History Of Violence for dumbasses. But the first trailer is out and has Mickey Rourke dressed as an Indian which seems to be worth the price of admission to me.

Seriously, the trailer looks mighty pretty and rather cool. Then again there are few things more useless in judging a film’s quality then how cool the cast or trailer is. Still, I’ll be interested in seeing this thing to find out if Joseph Gordon Levitt can be as good in big films as he has been in the Indies, and to see if Mickey Rourke can spin his comeback into anything better then a British Spy Kids rip off and Domino.
