Rob Zombie's Halloween 3D Replacement Found

So whose idea was it to start making awful horror movies in 3D as way to try to make them stand out from the handfuls of other awful horror movies? Whoever that person is, I’d like to give them a knuckle sandwich with a side of roundhouse kick steak. Between movies like The Final Destination 3D and My Bloody Valentine 3D, it’s hard to have hope for mainstream horror.

But the trend doesn’t seem to be letting up. According to Variety, Patrick Lussier has just been hired by The Weinstein Co. to write and direct the third installment of the Halloween reboot. And as Lussier’s previous work (My Bloody Valentine) suggests, the movie will be in 3D. The trusty old Weinstein Brothers hope to release the threequel sometime next summer.
