Sam Worthington Has Regrets About Clash Of The Titans

Like most people who saw Clash Of The Titans, I was decidedly underwhelmed, and it wasn't even because of just one basic issue. The script was just meh, the acting was average at best and the visuals were worth seeing once. Needless to say, I was not excited for the sequel, but maybe I should have held off my judgment.
According to MovieFone, Titans star Sam Worthington has taken the unusual step of apologizing to viewers. The Australian mega-star went so far as to call out his own acting in a prolonged statement that ultimately promised the second would deliver where the first one failed.
Here's what the actor had to say: "I think the first one, we kind of let down some people. And yeah, I totally agree. The only point of doing a sequel is either the audience demands it or you believe you can better the first one. What we're setting out to do with this one -- the writers and the director and myself -- is improve. I think I can act fucking better, to be honest ... Just take all the notes from people that I have been reading about on the 'net and give them a movie they fucking want. This one I want to kind of try to satisfy a lot more people."
It still remains to be seen whether these harsh words will be turned into actions, but it's certainly nice to know some actors or more than willing to admit their shortcomings.
