The New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trailer Is Action Packed And Not Terrible

The heroes in a half-shell are coming back in a big way this summer, and today Paramount has launched quite a huge marketing blitz to go along with it. In addition to the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailer you see above, the studio has also launched four new character posters, each one showing off a different member of the team.
Directed by Jonathan Liebesman and produced by Michael Bay, the film brings the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back to live action and finds them fighting against the forces of evil represented in Shredder and his Foot Clan. Fantastic character actor William Fichtner will be playing the lead villain in the movie, and helping out the turtles will be the Tony Shaloub-voiced/Danny Woodburn-motion captured Splinter, Megan Fox as April O'Neil, and Will Arnett is playing her cameraman Vernon Fenwick.
So let’s get a look at our Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle heroes, shall we? These posters first appeared over on the Turtle Reveal viral site and show off the lead characters in different environments. First up is Leonardo, sporting a pair of katanas in the icy tundra:
Next there’s Michelangelo, wielding some nunchucks in the city streets:
Thirdly we have Raphael standing on a rooftop with his sai and looking down over New York City:
And finally there’s Donatello, carrying his staff while in what looks to be the Turtles' secret sewer lair:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be in both 2D and 3D theaters on August 8th.
