If there’s one thing that we have learned in recent days, it’s that the set of X-Men: Apocalypse was the best, or possibly the worst, place to ever hang out. The cast got up to some fairly wild shenanigans, including, apparently, shooting Jennifer Lawrence with a BB gun, while she was trying to use the bathroom.
Both James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawrence were guests on The Graham Norton Show last week, when the topic turned to how Jennifer Lawrence uses the bathroom. Don’t worry, it made some sense. Lawrence was talking about how the blue body stocking that she wore in order to play mutant shape changer Mystique was not designed to let her use the bathroom very easily while shooting. The process reportedly involved her standing and using a funnel. One day, while she was engaged in this process, James McAvoy came in and shot her with a BB gun. Apparently, this was just a thing they were doing.
According to James McAvoy, it wasn’t simply him, but "Nick and Michael" (Hoult and Fassbender, we assume) who were also "unloading on her." It sounds just as dirty when he says it. This actually sounds like a fairly terrible experience. BB guns hurt, especially at close range. It must not have been all that bad if everybody is laughing about it now, but it sounds absolutely terrible.
Personally, I don’t think this was a random attack. This sounds like Sophie Turner may have called in a hit on Jennifer Lawrence, to get her back for the time Lawrence punched her in the vagina. Because that’s a thing that also happened on the set of X-Men: Apocalypse. We’re not sure what was in the water, but something turned the latest X-Men filming into Spring Break. As Lawrence says, the extras on this DVD are going to be amazing.
With still two weeks of press left to do before the release of X-Men: Apocalypse, we fully expect to hear about more Actors Gone Wild events that took place while filming. We’re not sure how they’ll top this. We haven’t heard much from Nicholas Hoult as part of the PR campaign. Are we sure he’s still alive?
