When the first trailer for Premium Rush was released last September it was in anticipation of a January 13th release date - a release date that came and went without Premium Rush's delivery to theaters (no pun intended). That's because Sony decided to mix up their schedule a bit and shift the David Koepp-directed film to August 24th. Now that a few months have passed, it's time to fire up the marketing engines again, and that starts with a brand new trailer.

Hosted over at Yahoo!, the new preview contains a lot of the same footage from the first theatrical trailer, but it's definitely edited in a new way and does contain some new stuff. Check it out below!

The film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Wilee, a bike messenger living in New York City. One day, while trying to deliver a package, he is stopped by a cop (Michael Shannon) who tells him that he needs the contents of the package back. What Wilee doesn't know is that the cop is dirty and what he's delivering is evidence that the cop needs to protect his innocent identity. Thus it becomes our hero's mission to make sure that the package is delivered into safe hands and outrun the people chasing him. Premium Rush co-stars Jamie Chung, Aasif Mandvi and Dania Ramirez and if you'd like to know more about the movie head over to our Blend Film Database.
