Universal's Movies Of 2006

There's not another King Kong in 2006 for Universal, but what they're offering movie audiences instead is variety. They've got a couple of potentially big money-makers in there like Miami Vice, but to me what's most interesting about Universal's 2006 slate of films is an almost complete lack of sequels. Alright, they're doing another Fast and Furious, but that's it. Otherwise, all their projects are fairly original material. They're loaded with stuff like Weitz's American Dreamz and DePalma's new noir Black Dahlia. While other studios are busy with Big Momma's House 2, maybe Universal is the first one to get the message: We're sick of the same, tired out, old crap. Or maybe not. We'll have to see how these movies shake out.

Till then, we here at the Cinema Blend labs have worked ourselves to the bone adding every movie on the horizon for Universal into our preview database for you. Take a look at what's in store in 2006 by using the direct links below to all of Universal's proposed 2006 films.
